“Thatte twere, ynne ye skyes, a fly-ynnge cowe. Mannye farmers, rougues and vagranntes did trye to claim ownershippe of ye cowe, for she was a Verily Fynne Specimenne an she gav a graet milke.” I’ve been thinking a lot about this old piece of folk art that my mom has hanging in her kitchen, it’s a wooden figurine of a flying cow and to me it symbolizes strength and beauty and a rich and complex history of American folklore. Overcoming the impossible. Transforming. Growing. When I look at this painting, hanging like an altar in my studio, I try to envision myself as her.. strong, free, desired by many, full of mystery and beauty.

“you're a very strong individual, you have the strength to let something go that was fulfilling your personal journey. Never settle. your life isn't meant to be lived half assed. If someone in your life isn't respecting you or loving you the way you want then you have the strength to let it go. It is true that those we meet can change us, sometimes so profoundly that we are not the same afterwards but we aren't meant to stay the same forever. Sometimes it's through the toughest heart breaks we learn our deepest lessons. Nothing in this universe happens by mistake, you must always trust yourself and what belongs to you will find you when you're ready for it. loneliness is poverty to your soul but solitude is wealth to your soul. your energy and your soul is one of the greatest that i've met and you will amount to beautiful things. you'll never be in the perfect relationship you desire until you are complete on your own and you love yourself first.”
